A Compliment

Do you recall complimenting someone or when someone complimented you? It felt good.

A compliment takes less than a second to say or receive. I remember when I was asking a friend if my hair was okay and a random guy said, “your hair looks pretty. Don’t worry about it.” This compliment demolished all the self-doubt and deprecation I had in that one second.

When people take the time to prepare their outfits and you take the time to admire their outfits. There are multiple times in a day where we look at people and admire how majestic, ethereal, or good, but we don’t say these thoughts.

I think it’s important that we go out of our ways to compliment people, because it can automatically make someone’s day so much better. The compliment about my hair was told to me 3 years ago.

Sometimes it’s the smaller details and things we remember most, because they touched our hearts when we were at most vulnerable.

So the next time you think someone is looking particularly dashing, simply give a compliment.
